The Junior High program lays the groundwork for High School preparation. By this stage, your student is learning how to hold themselves to high academic standards and how to think critically. Class assignments are structured to provide increased opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and communication. Academic classes challenge your child to be their own advocate and to be resilient. With a continued emphasis on respect for self and others, our Junior High teachers help students deepen their Catholic worldview and promote harmony in their environment.
JUNIOR HIGH DAILY SCHEDULE
Junior High students begin and end the day with prayer. Those who show leadership qualities are selected to lead prayer over the intercom for the entire student body. Students have different periods throughout the day. Junior High grades change classrooms for every class and will have a different teacher for each subject. Each grade completes math, English, literature, science, social studies, Spanish and religion instruction every day. Each St. John Bosco Catholic School eighth grade student receives high school credit for College and Career Readiness and Coding, allowing them an advantage and added flexibility in their high school schedule.
