St. John Bosco Catholic School partners with Bishop Noll Institute in many ways. It’s a partnership that goes back to our very beginning, as in 1934, St. John Bosco Parish was established by the principal of what would become Bishop Noll Institute. Today, through collaborative curriculum mapping, our students are prepared to succeed at the high school. And, through this partnership, select eighth grade students have the opportunity to begin their high school career while in Junior High.
During the first two periods of the day, high-achieving eighth-grade students travel to the high school to take courses in engineering and honors-level algebra, earning high school credit before their freshman year. Courses are taught in the state-of-the-art STREAM Lab at Bishop Noll, where students learn utilizing the same technology and working on the same projects as those in the freshman class.
The program also helps students adjust to life as a high school student. They take their first round of final exams, learn time management by switching from their own schools and Bishop Noll, and they are better prepared for the workload required of high school students.
